Bridge is a trick-taking card game for four players, played in two partnerships. Players take turns playing cards in tricks, with the goal of winning the most tricks.
- Shuffle and deal a standard 52-card deck into two packets of 13 cards each
- Players sit across from each other in partnerships
- Players sort their cards into suits
- Players bid on how many tricks they think they can win in a particular suit
- The player who leads the first trick is determined by the auction
- Players take turns playing one card each to the trick, in clockwise order
- The player who played the highest-scoring card wins the trick
- The winning partnership scores the trick
- Repeat until all 13 tricks have been played
